Tips for 2012, the Year of Yang Water Dragon

2012, the Year of Yang Water Dragon is approaching. This is the time I give tips for the New Year.  This time, along with tips are Feng Shui tidbits too.

Will the world end in 2012, the Year of the Water Dragon?

Perhaps, because death is always at the back of our minds (if not haunting us) – however hard we try to engage in living – anyone who talks about the end of the world gets immediate attention.

Like on October 21st, 2011, they have all been proved wrong.

Harold Camping, a 90-year-old Christian broadcaster was in the news and there were thousands of people who believed his radio broadcasts and prayed fervently.  He was proved wrong……….once again!

The first time that Camping announced the end of the world amidst chaos was in 1988. It didn’t happen. Unashamed, he made another dooms’ day announcement predicting an apocalypse in 1994.  The world continued to ignore his forecast. But since he ran his family radio station, he continued broadcasting new announcements. The new date was 21st May 2011.  It would be silly to even talk about his predictions but the world is full of them. So is the media. He got media coverage. He talked of Jesus Christ’s coming and the judgment period that would end on October 21st 2011.

There is also another date from the Mayan calendar - December 21st, 2012!

Feng Shui also interprets 2012 as the year in which water will play a crucial role. A major flood, perhaps several tsunamis, will drown life on earth.  Some even link this thought to the description of the year 2012 as the year of the Water Dragon.

Well, I do not endorse it! This is not the first Year of the Water Dragon, and this is not going to be the last! 2072 too will be the Year of the Water Dragon, or for that matter, 2072, 2132, 2192, 2252 and so on. This cycle repeats itself every 60 years.

However, it would be good and auspicious to keep the Water Dragon in the house. I will include all the information in my newsletter.

Feng Shui tips for 2012

Here are the Feng Shui tips for 2012. It is the year of the Dragon. According to the Chinese calendar, the Year of Water Dragon begins on 23rd January 2012…the Dragon is the fifth animal of the Zodiac.

Keeping the Dragon will benefit everyone during 2012. In fact, Dragon is the one which can be useful to everyone, all the life.

You will see two different dragons on our web site. One is the Greedy Dragon of Ambition.  This Dragon is a good and powerful Feng Shui cure to increase the support, backing, clout and your own strength whether you deal with powerful people outside your home or in business.  In case of disputes you will see help arriving from unexpected directions if you will place the Dragon in the Northwest.

The other Dragon is the Water Dragon. It call him Dragon, the Powerful.

In 2012, the Year of the Yang Water Dragon, the Prosperity Stars (#1, #6, #8 and #9) occupy South, Center, West and Northeast.  Place the Dragon in any of these 4 directions, preferably in the West. Money will start flowing in.

Anyone born in 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012 is considered “Dragon” in Feng Shui*.
The Dragon is powerful, courageous, determined, enthusiastic and always lucky. For the persons born in the Year of the Dragon, nothing is impossible. Nothing is beyond them. An obstacle is always a challenge that they will surmount.

You may be a Dragon but you will have to work extra hard if you are dealing with a Dragon, and this is why the Dragon must keep the laminated print of the Dragon in the Southwest during 2012. Keep a Rat along with him in the same part. Remember, the Rat is the best friend of the Dragon! The same prints may be moved to the Northwest once the year is over.

In 2012, it is important to see what kind of relationship you share with the Dragon and the Feng Shui cures you need during the New Year to counter the negative effect (if any).

If you are a Rat or a Monkey, the Dragon is your best friend. Keep the laminated print of the Dragon in the Helpful Friends Corner. The placement for keeping the Dragon is the same for the Tiger, Snake and Pig. The Dragon is your Helpful Friend.

Your relationship with the Dragon can be described as challenging if you are an Ox, Rabbit or Sheep.

If you are an Ox, keep the Dragon and Snake in the Helpful Friends Corner. The Snake is your best friend, and he has a positive relationship with the Dragon.  This can be beneficial to you.

If you are a Rabbit or a Sheep, keep the Dragon and the Pig in the Helpful Friends Corner. The Pig is your best friend and he has a positive relationship with the Dragon.

If you are a Horse, you will have to work at a relationship with the Dragon and you will need the help of the Pig with whom you have a positive relationship.  The Horse must keep the Dragon and Pig in the Southwest. These two can be shifted to the Northwest once the year is over.

If you are a Rooster, you need to work at a harmonious relationship with the Dragon and will need your best friend the Snake to create a relationship. Keep the laminated print of the Snake and the Dragon in the Northwest.

The Dragon is the arch enemy of the Dog and this is why those born in 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994 and 2006* may feel the heat during 2012. It is extremely important for the Dog to keep both his best friends the Horse and Tiger along with the Dragon in the Northwest. The Dog will have no reason to worry.

Every laminated print that was priced at US$40 and a flat Shipping charge of US$30 (for orders up to US$200) and is now available for only US$29!

* The Chinese calendar is a lunar calendar and therefore the Year begins on a different date. Therefore, if you are born in the months of January or February, you need to check the Chinese calendar.

The Grand Duke Jupiter moves in East- South - East.  The Duke is a very important aspect of Flying Star Feng Shui. It is believed that disturbing him brings you bad luck. Confrontation with the Duke invites his wrath and disaster. The Duke changes his place of residence every year and this is why, the remedy too changes its position. The remedy is to place a Pi Yao facing the direction of the Duke. The Grand Duke of Jupiter is exactly 90 degrees to the East-South-East during 2012. You must not sit facing South-east-east even your lucky direction is Southeast. The Duke doesn't like confrontation.

Saram Saat (three killings) is located in the South during the year of the Water Dragon. You should not do any digging in the South during this year. Saam Saat is always located opposite the Grand Duke of Jupiter and you should never sit with Saam Saat behind you.

The Deadly Five Yellows move in the Southeast. To suppress the bad luck it can bring in the Relationship corner, hang a wind chime (golden, 5 rods) in the East.

Here are some more tips to celebrate the arrival of the New Year and also to add some Feng Shui corrections and changes for a happier and more successful year.

Get rid of the negative energy (bad chi) that might have accumulated during the last year.  Dust and clean your house.  This is symbolic of getting rid of, and greeting the positive energy (chi) and good luck in the year 2012.

You must also get rid of old Feng Shui products that might have lost their energy. Replace them with new products. If the prints have benefitted you, gift them to someone and replace them with original, energized paintings.

Pray to God and remember your ancestors, pray for their salvation.

Replace the old Fook sticker with a brand new one on your main door.

Have a dinner with your near and dear ones to celebrate the New Year.
