Feng Shui of Barack Obama and White House

This first happened in Irving Wallace's book, ‘The Man'. Douglass Dilman, a black senator, succeeds to the Presidency after the Vice-President dies and the President and the Speaker of the House are smashed into eternity when a 14th century German cathedral falls on them. As President pro tempore of the Senate, Dilman steps in. He is very sensitive about his race. He also must bear the weight of three burdens: his office, his race and his private life.

44 years later, America has its first black President and this time, it is not ‘by accident' but by choice. Americans have chosen the son of a white mother and an African father, born in Honolulu, to the most powerful position in the world.

The birth certificate of Barack Obama is in controversy. Though a lawsuit, alleging that Barack Obama was ineligible to be President, was dismissed by a federal judge on grounds that the petitioner lacks a standing to bring the lawsuit, the judgment is being challenged.

The Door direction of White House Lucky for Obama

Nevertheless, the date on Obama's birth certificate (4^th Aug, 1961) is in use by him and based on that, the door direction is fortunate for him. The problem will always be between USA and the world! North, as a door direction, indicates disagreements, disputes, quarrels and legal wrangles. Obama will need all the chi (positive energy) if he wants to survive and serve the country for two terms. But having the entrance of the White House in North is one of the lucky directions for Barack Obama. And, in Feng Shui, it is very important.

It is interesting to note that the same North direction was unlucky for Hillary Rodham Clinton. In fact, after the scandal involving Monica Lewinsky in 1998, Hillary got the Feng Shui of the White House analyzed, as far as she and Bill Clinton were concerned. It turned out that the door direction was unlucky for her but fortunate for Bill Clinton. She moved out to a light green Manhattan apartment that opened towards the West.

Almost every President in the past has chosen to use the same resolute desk and traditionally, all of them have sat facing north! This desk is a gift from Queen Victoria and has been in the White House since 1880.

The North has been one of the lucky directions for most of the American Presidents (including George Bush) but not for John F Kennedy and Richard Nixon. Kennedy was assassinated and Nixon had to resign in disgrace, to avoid a definite impeachment and conviction for his role in the Watergate scandal. The same door direction was lucky for Bill Clinton and he survived his scandal.

Though the desk has twice been modified from the original version, Obama need neither modify it nor change the direction of the desk.

Obama's attitude towards India

As for his attitude towards India, it can change with the change in who leads our country. An affinity with Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh is clear, but if India does a ditto like USA and elects a Mayavati or a Laloo Prasad Yadav to lead, the relationship between the two countries can suffer.

It is also important where the offices of the Secretary of State are located. Though everyone posted in the White House is in the Power position - this is why Obama has received 300,000 applications - the real power, besides the President, lies with the Secretary of State. The ideal position is in the Southwest. The President-elect Obama has been advised to create a coordinating office headed by a presidential assistant to oversee cyberspace issues. It was the think tank of George Bush that changed the course in Iraq. It is important to place the new think tank in the Northwest.

USA has been the most powerful country in the world and always at war, even with itself.

The very seal of the President has eagle's head, and the only thing that softens the aggressive, always at war eagle, is the olive branch. I heard stories that olive branch turns to arrows at the time of war every time.

Feng Shui flaws in White House

A cursory look at the White House shows several Feng Shui flaws.

The presence of a naval painting of the sea battle between the American Bonhomme Richard and British Serapis itself is the Feng Shui reason of US' involvement in wars. 

I notice a major Feng Shui flaw, and am sure that, if corrected it can have a bearing on the world politics, the relationship of USA with other countries and most important kick start the economy. This also can be a good remedy for recession in the States.  

Blue Room is used by the President and his wife to receive State guests and is, as the name suggests, colored blue.  It is located in the South and even as per Ba Gua, blue clashes with this sector. The ideal color here is red. Similarly, the color of the Red Room should be changed to Yellow and the color of the Green Room should be altered to Blue or Purple.

Obama's personal chi places him in the category of a ‘dreamer' and ‘idealist', but not as a man with a chip on his shoulder, as a black President might otherwise be. He is pragmatic. Though I see some personal weakness in him, which may make him vulnerable to pressures and blackmail, soon after he steps in the Oval Office the world will start witnessing positive changes.
