Bye 2005 - Welcome 2006, the Year of the Dog

Here is wishing all of you Health, Wealth, Success, Love, Happiness from children and parents, Fame, lots of Friends, Fun and then some more…the Feng Shui way. Because the Chinese follow lunar cycle, and in Feng Shui we do the same, the first day of the year can fall anywhere between late January and the middle of February. On the Chinese calendar, 2006 is Lunar Year 4703-4704. On the Western calendar, the start of the New Year falls on January 29, 2006 — The Year of the Dog.
The hour glass will continue to work, and the sand will be replaced again. There is a feeling of déjà vu as far as I’m concerned. Every year, at this time, I am asked to write a year–ender.

I take a look at the year gone, assess the success stories and give some Feng Shui suggestions for the new years. This year, in stead of writing about Feng Shui success stories I will focus on what people seek from Feng Shui.

In one word; everything!
In one word; miracle!
In one word; change!
In one word, a perfect life!

Feng Shui has become more than Aladdin’s Lamp and this Genie has long list of satisfied people. Every time Feng Shui has solved money problems, increased the flow of wealth, got people promotions, shown results in relationship sector or brought great success to the achievers it has added to what is loosely described as `mouth publicity `. More people start expecting more from life, seeking it from Feng Shui…creating an endless circle.

It feels great.

But is it simple? Is Feng Shui a simple remedy that shows magical results?

Please, no! I have said it earlier and I repeat it once again. You need to master the science or art of Feng Shui before being able to see the results.

As all the regulars of my diary know, The Grand Duke of Jupiter is one of the more sensitive aspects of Feng Shui. Upsetting it brings you bad luck and confronting it invites disaster. In the past, I have given several instances of people (even armies) facing the direction occupied by the Duke and losing. I have given instances of wars India fought, lost or won and even the case of Saddam Husain!

The Duke changes his place of residence every year and this is why, the remedy too changes the position. The remedy is to place Pi Yao facing the Direction of the Duke. In 2006, the Duke is in West-North-West so you must move the Pi Yao (if you acquired it last year by 30 degree clockwise, as it occupied West during 2005). If you do not have it, get it and place it anywhere in the house facing WNW.

Besides the Duke is Saram Saat – the Three Killings – that is going to occupy North during the year of the Dog. You must not have him behind you. It can cause a lot of harm, Chinese believe. So if you are sitting facing south, move your chair anti-clockwise by 45 degrees so that you sit facing southeast. If South is your lucky direction, South-East too would be your lucky direction.

But this all comes only after you bring Feng Shui in your life.

With me it can be inconspicuous Feng Shui blended with interior (like you see in the picture of bamboo wind chime in which the colors and textures on the wall play a major role) – and symbolic acrylic paintings on the canvas or the Feng Shui with your regular dragons, phoenix, Chinese Emperor’s Sword, Feng Shui coins, wind chimes, crystals and dozen other things. I get a lot of mail from people who want me to travel to wherever they live and are unsure of my response. Let me make it clear here. I am available to visit you – anywhere in India or abroad – but you will have to book my time about three months in advance. Looking back at the year gone, I see that my success rate, almost 85 percent, continues! Touchwood!

I’d like the complete this year-ender with the interesting success story of an NRI (Non Resident Indian) based in USA. He was employed by an unscrupulous person (I do not wish to give details about them as this would cause all around embarrassment.) and as he was a part of managing the business, got involved in a court case when the employer defaulted. The situation was such that he faced a jail sentence for no fault of his own. He sought the help of Feng Shui even as the case proceeded. The formalities were the same and my Feng Shui advice focused on the Helpful Friends sector. He could prove his innocence and today, based in USA where he has a new management job, has also set up his own business in India. His office in India, spread in over 2000 sq ft premises in Parel, has become a showcase for Feng Shui products and my paintings.
