Before you buy a house

I have often seen estate agents reassuring the buyers that the 'vaastu' of the house is perfect but such a claim from an Estate agent has as much credibility as the '100 percent guarantee' of a shoe shop or 'fast color claim' of a textile salesman. The best thing is to consult a professional Feng Shui Master, a Feng Shui Master who also has mastery on Vaastu.

Feng Shui originated in China. Vaastu Shastra is an Indian phenomenon. Yet, India has welcomed Feng Shui – originating from a country that was at war with India – and today more Indians are opting for Feng Shui. I have had politicians known for their staunch Hindu beliefs consulting me but asking me not to make it known. In fact, a top Hindu leader is privately the follower or Sikhism but that has nothing to do with this article.

1. In Vaastu, having the main door facing south is considered inauspicious. However, Feng Shui depends on your date of birth to decide your lucky and unlucky directions. It is better to have the door in one’s lucky direction.

2. Chose the door direction that is lucky for you as per Feng Shui. There are 10 different remedies to cure or reduce the ill effects of the door being in South.

3. It is advisable to avoid having a staircase directly facing your main door as it attracts negative energy (called Chi’ in Chinese).

4.Your door should open with a lot of room in front of you. A wall facing you immediately after you enter is considered inauspicious as it adversely affects the relationship among the members of the family or the inmates of the business premises.

5. Similarly, a wall facing you when you leave your house too is considered inauspicious. This can cause problems between the members of the family and the outside world. It can alienate you socially.
A road pointed towards your main door is considered very unlucky. It brings negative energies and bad luck.

6.A toilet facing your main door, as you go out, will adversely affect your business and career.

7. A toilet facing your main door, as you come in, will ruin the wealth and drain the money.

8. Three doors in a row are considered unlucky.

9. It is better to avoid a house that is facing cemetery, hospital, police stations, jails, and morgue. They can invite disaster in your life.

10. It is very important to check where the toilet is located. In wealth corner, it can cause money drain and in the Fame sector it can attract infamy.

Houses, flats, shops and other business premises, like human beings, are imperfect. A competent Feng Shui Master will help you located the house with the least Feng Shui flaws and suggest you remedies and cures to correct the flaws without major demolitions and civil changes.
