Feng Shui tips for 2010 – the Year of Golden Tiger / Mohan Deep
Here is wishing all of you a very Happy New Year.
This year the Chinese New Year starts on 14th Feb, 2010. It is the year of the tiger. Golden Tiger. The Tiger is the protector of the West.
- Dust and clean your house. This is symbolic of getting rid of the negative energy (bad chi) that might have accumulated during the last year, and greeting the positive energy (chi) and good luck in the year 2010. Grooming yourself, especially, hair cut, manicure and pedicure is important.
- Besides getting rid of clutter, you must also get rid of old Feng Shui products that might have become dirty, dusty, rusted or chipped and replace them with new products. Dust and wipe the framed Feng Shui paintings. Replace the prints with original, energized paintings.
- Pray to God and remember your ancestor, pray for their salvation.
- Replace the old Fook sticker with a brand new one your main door.
- Have a dinner to celebrate the New Year with your near and dear ones. If having dinner with your beloved is not possible, you may settle for any meal as this year the year of Golden Tiger starts on the Valentine day.
- Gift a painting / print / icon of Golden Tiger along with some money in a red envelope (called Li Shi) to people younger than you. It may be placed on the West wall.
- You can retain the painting / print / icon of horse, dragon, dog and pig but get rid of monkey, bull and snake.
