Feng Shui Guidelines - 2004

As I always blend Black Hat Sect Feng Shui and the Compass School of Feng Shui with the Flying Star (Xuan Kong) Feng Shui there are a few, vital changes you must make in the new year. I have often written of Tai Sui (the Grand Duke of Jupiter), The Three Killings and the Five Yellows. These three change place every year. You should never sit facing the Grand Duke of Jupiter. Remember how Saddam Husain couldn' t be defeated when he was aligned with the Grand Duke' s direction during the Gulf War and how, like I had predicted, he has been finished! The Duke' s direction, in 2004, is Southwest. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Even if Southwest is your lucky direction avoid sitting facing it during 2004 – the year of monkey – as this can cause havoc in your life, can weaken your position and attract disasters during confrontations. It is also necessary to ensure that no demolitions are done in SW while doing renovation, as it is believed that the violence of sound would arouse him. There is an entire process to pacify an angry Tai Sui. Last year I used it bring prosperity and harmony to the owner of a major store (name withheld at the owner' s request) in New York. I quote from his letter:

"…Please keep our identity confidential. Our life has changed drastically after renovating my store. Earlier, we had everything we could wish for. The money was flowing in and staying. We were growing. Our children were happy. My son and daughter got married in 2002. We too went on a vacation we had wanted for long time. Time was due for renovating our store in 2003 as it had an old look. Immediately after the renovation things started happening that disturbed us. The tax guys raided us for the first time in our history. Dealing with these people was a bad experience. There was one guy who was especially nasty. During the same period my daughter had a major show down with her husband. She walked out on him and has come back to live with us. My son' s marriage too wasn' t happy. And worse, money flow decreased. Another store in the same locality started competing with us. There was also a robbery. It turned out to be an inside job. A senior staff member had betrayed the trust we had deposed in him. There are several other minor problems and all seem to happening after renovations…"

A quick check of the renovation showed that the architect didn' t know anything about Feng Shui. He had an idea for enlarging the store space, which required shifted the boss' cabin (and along with that cash box, ledger and desk) in South-South-West.

After dismantling and shifting two counters and shelves they had constructed a posh room there. "The Grand Duke of Jupiter has been annoyed and woken up because of digging, noises and knocks. He needs to be pacified. There is a secret process for that…." I wrote him back. I also mentioned some other changes.

It worked. The Duke was pacified.
“I can feel the difference. I now have a feeling of peace around me.” He wrote within a week.
In another letter, four-five months later, among other things he wrote, “The difference is real. I have seen it. Almost inexplicably the tax guy who was troubling me was arrested for some reason nothing to do with us. After this the team appeared softer and cooperative. The case against us was closed. My daughter and son-in-law sorted out their problems and tried to give their marriage another chance. Money position too improved again though the other shop continued to be there.”
He realized how vicious an angry Duke can be and how effective the method of pacifying him is. (Note: The most obvious sign of the wrath of the Duke is beginning of any problem(s) after doing the renovations. If you think it is happening with you, you need to pacify the Duke with the secret method of Feng Shui Masters.) To return to an obvious situation, what should one do if the direction of the Duke is your auspicious direction?
Every one has 4 lucky directions and if you are a west person (meaning your lucky directions include west, southwest and northwest) you will have only three lucky directions.
The traditional Chinese method is to place a dragon headed tortoise in the northeast sector of the room facing southwest where Tai Sui sits to appease him. Use a compass and take the reading from the middle of the home to place the dragon headed tortoise.
As for the Three Killings, its location is South and you must keep one red Laughing Buddha in South sector of the living room.
The Five Yellows is also regarded a very negative influence. In 2004, the location of five yellows is in the central part of the house. The sector in question is the Health sector and you must hang six-rod wind chime to control its influence in the central sector of your house. It is especially bad to elderly male member of the family. It can cause injury to hand and foot, or liver and stomach. You should also place a Wu Lou and six Chinese coins tied with red ribbon in this part. Avoid placing red objects, bright lights or red colored furnishing in this sector. A more effective remedy is called salt water cure. This is a specialized process better set up by a Feng Shui Master. This is going to be a part of my Feng Shui in the New Year. Also, during the consultation this year I will ensure that the Grand Duke of Jupiter, Three Killings and the Five Yellows are taken care of.
Feng Shui for Health is important, more important than Feng Shui for Wealth.
Though Feng Shui is not a healing science and no Feng Shui Master worth his salt will suggest placing a wind chime or crystal ball to cure a head ache (in fact, a large crystal placed close to someone not used to it can suffer from head aches!), Feng Shui of surroundings certainly has a role to play in the health of people.
To put it simply, the harmony of elements and the positive energy (called Chi' or cosmic Qi) is important for good health. It has a direct relationship with the fungus and bacteria in the air.
The percentage of Chi' has a direct relationship with the percentage of fungus and bacteria. People operating from `sick buildings` or `sick apartments`, usually, suffer from fatigue, do not feel motivated, lack enthusiasm and as a result are failure in life. The students cannot concentrate and cannot focus.
If a person with a high energy level spent a night on a bed in a `sick house` he will get up drained and find his energy level low.
Besides bring the elements in harmony and opening the doors to attract Chi' and to retain it in the house, one can use Earth element to enhance the Health Luck. Earth is the ruling element of Health corner and placing it on a wall facing the T'ien yi ensures good health.
