Discreet Feng Shui

You do not want to reveal that there was a time when you were in money trouble, when you were desperately looking for a match for your daughter or son, when your business was down, when you were in debts, when your son was jobless, when your daughter was desperate for getting a job…..is where subtle Feng Shui comes into picture.

“Sir, this is Ritu I have good news. After consulting you three months ago, I have got a very good job in an MNC. It is a very good job. I must thank you and now I want to buy another painting from you, the painting for marriage.” Ritu was breathless.

“I am happy for you, Ritu. Can you send me the first person account for my record?” I asked her. Ritu promised to send it but has yet to write her experience.

Orders pouring in, business increased six-fold

Khusroo was down in dumps as his business was down. As suggested by his wife he consulted me. Some changes that included shifting his very own table and getting a new chair and to sit in a new spot chosen by me, Khusroo saw the graph rising again.
“Sirji, your advice has really benefited me.”
He narrated the experience briefly: “Earlier there were virtually no orders but now the orders are pouring in. I have appointed three more persons as it was not possible for the one person who doubled as sales executive and delivery boy to satisfy the growing demand and more customers.”
“Three more persons on your payroll…so the business must be at least four times more.”
“Six times more,” he grinned happily.
Though I have been practicing Feng Shui, professionally, for a long time every success story still thrills me. There is a professional satisfaction in seeing the results. It is like co-writing the script of a film with happy ending, a script for the real life!
A typical success story begins with `you can write about it but please do not reveal our identities` and then, even as I take notes (if it is a telephone conversation), I decide whether it is okay for my next week’s column. If not in the beginning, the concluding part is always `please don’t reveal my identity` or `do not disclose my user ID`.
Right of privacy is sacred

I am fine with it. The right of privacy is sacred for me. The names of the people mentioned in the diary are always changed to protect the identity of my clients. I have often wondered about this phenomenon. Why people do not wish to officially acknowledge the Feng Shui help?
I think it is because Feng Shui is a very private affair between them and the Feng Shui. It is like praying, like communicating with the God…It cannot be, like in films where an Amitabh Bachchan says thrice in his deep bass voice, “Mujhe meri maa wapas de de, mujhe meri wapas de de, mujhe meri maa wapas de de.”(Give my mother back to me, give my mother back to me, give my mother back to me.)
It cannot be like a devotional song or loud scream for help from heavens. It is subtle. More sophisticated people are, more subtle the Feng Shui changes are...
It is not difficult for a visitor to your house to discover that you have done Feng Shui of your house. Some of the Feng Shui products selling in the shops are familiar. When a visitor smiles, “Oh, Feng Shui…?” you sheepishly admit and `blame` the wife (or mother) for believing it.
But in the same breath, or weeks later, you start saying, “But FENG SHUI really works. Our life has changed. Money flow is better. My son got a good job. I got a promotion. My daughter got married. We are prospering. I won the court case. There is harmony in the house.”
But you do not wish to proclaim it to the world. You do not want to reveal that there was a time when you were in money trouble, when you were desperately looking for a match for your daughter or son, when your business was down, when you were in debts, when your son was jobless, when your daughter was desperate for getting a job…
It is very normal. Why should the world know about your private problems?
In fact, this is where subtle Feng Shui comes into picture. You can bring the desired changes in your life without the popular Feng Shui products too.

Feng Shui paintings was my destiny

When I look at the course of my own life I see that Feng Shui paintings were my destiny. In China, there are painters who specialize in Feng Shui paintings but here, in India, we have shops that sell mass produced Feng Shui cures. The Laughing Buddha, three legged toads with coins in their mouth, dragon-tortoise, Pi Yao and what not. What is the difference between the Feng Shui products and Feng Shui paintings?

The first, of course, is that the products are mass produced and the `intention` that goes in painting is absent. You cannot expect the worker who is producing 500 toads from fiber or clay to have an intention for the buyer! Nor is it physically possible for any Feng Shui Master to successfully energize hundreds of Feng Shui products. It would drain him of all the energy, causing an inner turmoil so intense that he may fall sick. For this reason, most of the Feng Shui products being sold in the shops are not energized.
The answer to this problem is my Feng Shui paintings.
My Feng Shui paintings are of two types. The first includes paintings like the Phoenix, the Greedy Dragon of Ambition, the Peak and the acqua-bamboo series. These paintings on canvases are energized by me as and when I paint them. The other class of Feng Shui paintings is a creative experience as far as I’m concerned. These paintings are subtle, aesthetic and symbolic. Blending colors and symbols for the elements, they enhance the different sectors as a part of décor. They are not loud Dragons and Phoenix, Horses or Fishes, Water falls or Mountains…they are art.
For me it has become my life’s desire fulfilled. Painting for me is a creative experience. My pleasure is doubled when, besides being a part of décor, they bring windfalls to the buyers.
If the Fire is missing in the Fame corner, my painting fills the vacuum and if the Water is absent in the Money corner my paintings meet the need. And the results are miraculous.

Note: The right of privacy is sacred for me. The names of the people mentioned in the diary are usually changed to protect the identity of my clients. The real names are mentioned with the consent of people mentioned. The picture accompanying the article is only for representational purpose.
