Decorating Interior and Feng Shui

As I had expected, this concept of interior blended with Feng Shui has started showing tremendous results. And you do not even need to keep what cynics describe as `toads and turtles` as Feng Shui décor' has to do with directions, colors and elements.
Let me elaborate the concept for the lovers of Feng Shui how it can solve the usual complex problems one faces.

Feng Shui Decor

This happened to Kelly Goodman. Kelly is a rich housewife and socialite in Mumbai who figures on page 3 (Society gossip columns) and is a famous face on the cocktail circuit. (My film maker friend Madhur Bhandarkar - of Chandni Bar fame - has one of his characters as his characters in his film Page 3 and ironically, another friend film maker Govind Nihalani was inspired from her aunt and created a fascinating character in his film Party, produced over 2 decades ago!)

"In place of consulting you, I discussed Feng Shui with a film maker who incorporates Feng Shui changes in his films, and he volunteered to sit in with my architect. Though there is some kind of harmony around, I am not very happy with the results. Somehow, I think I should have consulted you. But there is one problem. I do not want anyone to know that I consulted you as my friend will be hurt. He is making ad-films for us and is extremely talented. Can you take a look and see whether the Feng Shui is right?"

I said I won't mention names and agreed to take a look. There were several self defeating paradoxes indicating

Havoc caused by amateur Feng Shui

Following the popular concept (Compass School of Feng Shui) a huge Red lamp was placed in the bedroom. There was some red in the curtains and the bed sheets too. And thus she had brought Fire in the corner that is ruled by Wood and supported by Water.
The problem also was that Water is taboo in the bedroom! (This doesn't mean that you cannot keep even a glass of water here, though!)
Moreover, there were a couple of Fire symbols.
However, her filmmaker consultant had ignored the fact that her bedroom was located in the Wealth & Good Fortune corner (as per Black Hat Sect School and Form & Shapes school of Feng Shui) and had not bothered to check the Feng Shui with reference to the Grand Duke of Jupiter.

Metal is no-no in Money corner

Even the beds were placed wrongly, and the elements of her bedroom were in a mess. I hesitated as the expensive interior had been done recently but she insisted and I went on ruthlessly revealing the mistakes and blunder. Metal is a no-no in the Money corner but is okay in the Marriage corner! In her bedroom, metal played a dominant role!

She revealed how this amateur Feng Shui had really caused havoc in her love life and how her husband - an advertising man - had lost a major account within two months of these changes. "I do not mind if we have to redo the interior of the bedroom, or for that matter, of the entire house." She said.

Fortunately, I have an association with a professional team of architect's. The corrections were incorporated so professionally and aesthetically that not even a professional can notice what I call the `over-writing`. The credit certainly goes to her as she didn't hesitate in disposing off some of the imported furniture she had just bought!

While the lost account hasn't been restored to her husband yet, within less than two weeks, he has received an offer that is to bring him big bucks. Now, her husband is consulting me for the décor of his ad agency!
