Husband Returns to Ruby

I do not know what is more fascinating to watch…the glow on the face of a wife whose love life is back on the rails or the shining eyes of an entrepreneur whose business has finally taken an upswing.
The first is intangible and the second can be measured (or counted) from the balance sheet and the extra activity in the shop or even a rise in the number of visitors on the website.
The first is an intimate story of a beautiful Mumbai housewife, Ruby, who is in her early forties. Like it happens with many marriages, her husband strayed.
Here is the first-person account from Ruby.
“I had suspected it for some time, but wasn' t sure till I saw the itemized account of his mobile bill. A friend of mine once told me that she had noticed that lovers keep in touch daily. This seemed correct as I remembered from the period when I fell in love for the first time. All the girls and boys who were in love never missed attending the classes. My own attendance, when I was in the tenth, was a hundred percent! Nothing could stop me from going to school…a fever, stomachache, rains, marriage in the family…and it was the same with my boy friend. My husband' s bill revealed one number that he had called faithfully everyday. The only days he didn' t make a call were Sundays and the holidays. And on these days, he would send (and receive) messages.
Foolishly, I confronted him and all hell broke loose. He raved and ranted, blaming me for not trusting him. He said that this was just a simple friendship that I was confusing with an affair, that the woman had her marital problems and he was only giving her a shoulder to cry on; that ours was a happy marriage and there was no need for me to be so suspicious, that I was too suspicious, too possessive and that this way I was pushing him away and blah blah…That made me defensive. I was seething with anger, even considered having a fling, but there was no one on the scene. This is when I reached for Feng Shui and approached you.”
I visited her house in the absence of her husband and suggested Feng Shui corrections for the Marriage & Romance corner. Among several things, I noticed three candles in her bedroom. The different shapes indicated that they had been gifted by friends of the couple on different occasions. I suggested removing one of them.
“Using the same symbolism, if I place one more candle, that might turn the triangle into a rectangle!” I saw her laughing for the first time.
“Do you wish to try it?” I asked her.
For a moment she seemed scared, tense.
“Yes.” Her voice was faint.
Refusing to be judgmental, I suggested some more cures that included triggering the yin part of the Marriage & Romance corner. Yang stands for the man, Yin for the woman. Yang stands for virtue and Yin for sin.
In this particular case I suggested placing a red wind chime with nine hollow rods.
Just one week later, I received a call from her. She sounded breathless.
“Feng Shui has worked like magic. I didn' t make any efforts but it has worked. I' m confused about my feelings but this new guy is in love with me. I am elated. I don' t know how to describe it but I gloat when my husband returns home in the evenings. It is as if I have settled the score. Now, I have an alternative,” she said. After a short pause she added, “But I' m not ready to break my marriage. I want my husband back.”
It was as if the gods were hearing her prayers. It took several weeks for it to happen. Her own affair continued. For me it was like watching a TV serial, as she remained in touch with me throughout. Her moods would swing from glee to remorse and back, till the day she saw her husband' s mobile bill again. The number had `mysteriously` disappeared from the itemized account! Much later, her husband (who still insisted that they were `just good friends`) told her that his `female friend` had moved to Australia as her husband got a job there!
