Love, Success and Wealth…the Feng Shui Way

Maybe because I was a journalist once, or may be because I still write three Feng Shui columns, every week, for Hindustan Times' UK edition that when a staff member of the premier newspaper from Delhi benefited and wrote me her e-mail of thanks, I was more happy than with the usual success stories.
It was being able to do something for your own friends. Using my discretion, I am not going to mention her name. I will simply repeat her story in brief before moving on…
She wanted her husband' s love and it seems that his parents were, perhaps unwittingly, causing obstacles in the happy marital life of their son. Along with my usual Feng Shui advice, I suggested placing my oil painting (Moon Energy) in her bedroom.
This was in February this year.
This week, 6 months later, she sends me an e-mail – after first phoning me – that reads:
Dear Mohan ji,

I am feeling very happy while writing this email to you. I am really happy with my life and specially with my husband now. I have been told that husband are husbands but my husband has turned a lover! Thanks to you. 
I still remember the time I called you to tell you the problems in my life. I had everything except the love of my husband and you suggested I hang a moon energy painting in my room. Though I hardly understood Feng Shui, I trusted you and did the same. Now I am glad I trusted you. My husband is affectionate and caring towards me and the other good news is that I am pregnant
I would like to really thank you from the bottom of my heart for the right guidance which you gave me.

Getting e-mails with similar messages has become as regular a feature as getting compliments, in the past, for well-written articles and books. But it still thrills me.
These stories which involve emotions touch me more but the cases where people have benefited in the Wealth Corner are as exciting, perhaps more so.

From Rs 30 millions to Rs 300 millions

My regular readers will remember the instance of a businessman who ended up having a turnover of Rs 300 millions in a year (2002-2003) from Rs 30 millions (2001-2002). This was an incredible story showing Feng Shui benefit. Perhaps because we triggered the Yin part of the Wealth corner it was difficult for this client of mine to announce his success story – especially how it happened - to the world. [It is true for most Indian businessmen today. They prefer to lie low. Flaunting money is not considered wise.] But he continues to heap the harvest.
He moved in a bigger apartment in a posh multi-storey building and then got bigger premises for his office. Now he gives me the happy news that he has expanded and opened a branch in Dubai. He didn' t even have to find a local as a partner due to some changes in the laws which, earlier, made it mandatory to have an Arab as a partner or some such restriction.
As a writer, I find that these changes give me a chance to study the personalities of my clients.
The changes are so subtle that one ends up feeling that the growth was already destined. The doctor is always forgotten till relapse. This happened when a client of mine shifted the fish tank he had kept in the Wealth corner moved it to his daughter' s bedroom after she got married; ignoring that water was taboo in bedroom.
He didn' t realize that soon after the tank was placed in her bedroom her husband had to go away from home, again and again.
He didn' t connect the water in her earlier bedroom (described as Pushpa' s bedroom even after she was married off) and the happenings in her life in Calcutta till I pointed out the Feng Shui flaw to him. The fish tank was again moved in the drawing room, placed in the Wealth corner and Pushpa' s marital life improved. Her husband got another job that didn' t take him away.
