Feng Shui tips for 2009, the year of Bull

Some of you might already be having the painting of the Bull that worked wonders for those in the bullish stock market. This is the time to bring it out or to acquire a new one. The Chinese New Year starts on 26^th January, 2009, and it is the year of the Bull (Ox). To enhance it, hang the painting of the Bull on the Northeast wall of your living room. This will bring great gains during the entire year.    

The Reigning number of 2009 is 2 and until 2024, it is the period 8. While I blend the Black Hat Sect Feng Shui, the Form School of Feng Shui, the Eight Mansion theories and the Compass  School of Feng Shui, keeping in mind the four mythical animals ( The Phoenix, the White Tiger, the Tortoise and the Dragon) and the Water school, I take extra care to include the Flying Stars theory in my professional consultation. The center of your house is represented by number 9. Houses that will have a large, open central area, will find the Dame Fortune smiling on them. Keep the center clutter free, frame 9 stickers of Fook and keep it in this part.

Even if you have consulted a Feng Shui Master last year, get 6 Double Happiness symbols, tie them in a red velvet cloth and place this in the Southwest. If you are single, love will blossom in your life. If you are married, you will see an increased amount of warmth and passion in your relationship. But you must hang a wind chime of 4 red coloured rods in the South also. The star that has moved in the South is the number 4 and the South is the sector of the girls. Unmarried young women may sleep in the South of their house (if possible) and if not, their heads should be pointed towards South to strengthen their marriage luck. Number 4 also has to do with Education luck and students should keep a fountain pen on the ledge of the door of their study rooms.

The number 1 star has flown to the Northwest and, if happy, can bring good Career luck and solid backing. It is very important to strengthen this part, keeping in mind the slowdown effect. If you are insecure in your job, get the painting of the Metal and hang it here. You will save yourself a lot of trouble during 2009. Metal will bring you success and triumph over competitors.

The lucky star of the prosperity number 8 will bring Wealth luck if activated correctly. If your bedroom or office cabin is in the Southeast, you will benefit during 2009. The benefits will be much more if you displayed 8 crystals tied together in the Southeast. If you plan to renovate your house, start the work in the Southeast part and also bring it to end in the Southeast.

Three Killings, also called Sarm Saat or the unlucky star number 7, moves in the East during 2009. This is the location of a conflict with the Grand Duke of Jupiter. It can bring business losses, violence and bloodshed. People living in the Eastern part of a building and where, looking from inside, the door is facing the East are vulnerable to frauds and cheating. At its worst, it can bring physical danger and assaults.  You need to use proper remedies and take extreme care while dealing with strangers. Get a statue of an elephant or better still, of Lord Ganesha, and place it in the East for protection.

The illness star number 2 hits the West in the year of the bull. As a remedy, get a framed symbol of Health and keep it facing the West. People with houses facing West or located in the West part of their house, must take extra care of their health and must follow the policy of "Prevention is better than cure".

The Five Yellow star afflicts the North and can bring loss of income so it is better to hang a 5-rod silver wind chime in the North during the entire year.

The Grand Duke of Jupiter is one of the more sensitive aspects of Feng Shui. Upsetting it brings you bad luck and confronting it invites disaster. In my columns in the past, I have given several instances of people (even armies) facing the direction occupied by the Duke and losing. I have even given instances of wars India fought, lost or won, and even the case of Saddam Husain!

The Duke changes his place of residence every year and this is why, the remedy too changes its position. The remedy is to place Pi Yao facing the Direction of the Duke. The Grand Duke of Jupiter moves in the North-east-east (NEE) and you must not sit facing this direction even if it is your lucky direction.
