Blending Feng Shui with Vaastu

I am searching for a house in Chennai. I am a 1st time buyer. I am confused whether to use Vastu or Fengshui. My father constructed an independent house, 10 years ago,  with complete vaastu compliant. Till then, we were a happy family despite small life issues but, after  coming to this house everything start spiraling down abyss. Everyone went into depression in different periods. We lost relationships, peace of mind and our happiness. Only recently, I came to know abt Feng shui. I studied some books. I tried few basic things like changing attitude from Non-veg to veg, organic foods, aromatherapy, using colors and ayurveda. Basically, I used it along with my Meditation and Yoga. I experimented and It seems working for me. I found it is interesting. I am planning to consult feng shui for home but, my parents wants to look vastu also. No good builders think abt vastu so, I am finding it difficult to use both Feng shui and Vastu to choose a house. Can you advise me ?
