My Notes on Feng Shui Paintings Show

The D-day for the show – my second - of my Feng Shui paintings is getting closer. My work will be on display on 9th, 10th and 11th November. Done mainly in oil and acrylic each Feng Shui painting is unique.
For me, besides being the ancient Science of Geomancy that has changed the course of life of millions around the world, Feng Shui has become a scholarly, investigative, research oriented and creative field. In India, I' m perhaps the only consultant who paints for the clients.
I have noticed that my paintings work faster than the regular, mass produced Feng Shui products but that can be easily explained.
It is the intention that works.
The artisan preparing the idol of Lord Ganesha knows that the statue is an idol, is worshipped by millions. But when he is producing an alien God the intention is missing. He doesn' t have shradha, he doesn' t believe. An idol of Maitreya, manufactured by work force that does not have reverence for him may have negative energy. This is why you need someone to energize, to purify, and to sanctify any Feng Shui product.
I look at the painting scattered around me. I' d want to possess every one of them.
The Greedy Dragon of Ambition reminds me of Olson, a middle level marketing executive in multinational company who sent me an email. It read: “I have been reading your articles for a long time and though I was sceptic in the beginning I turned a believer when our CEO sought your services and as our company benefited in a big way. I too need your help. I want to make Feng Shui changes in my home and office. I' m a very ambitious person and work very hard but I am not getting adequate rewards. I am approaching you because you are the best!”
This gentleman worked in an MNC at Worli and was a go-getter. Besides the usual Feng Shui advice that I gave him to enhance his Career corner I painted a canvas for him; a canvas containing the image of the Greedy Dragon of Ambition! He placed it in his home on the wall I chose for it and soon things started happening in his Career. Due to some contacts he developed he could get a couple of film stars to endorse his company' s brand for an amount that was much lesser than they thought they would have to shell out; and this elevated his status in the eyes of the bosses. I don' t wish to go into the details, as this will make the identity of the people concerned known to the world. But my client was promoted and given a fancy title. He later informed me that he has joined another MNC as they offered him a better pay packet and generous perquisites! “If you have anything else that can help me rise further I would like to acquire that.” He said revealing the tendency of the Greedy Dragon of Ambition. I have painted another.
You will see this painting on display at the show. This is NOT your average dragon. The Greedy Dragon of Ambition is one who is not about to let any opportunity just pass him by. He does not believe in anyone being better than him and he will not be moved unless he wants to.
Hugging the Earth in his powerful grip, the Dragon jealously guards his treasure. This painting is for you if you are a high achiever on your way to the top. Those in the business say that nothing can slow you down once you have the Greedy Dragon by your side.
The Greedy Dragon can be used to symbolically substitute a missing Green Dragon of the East. Place your Greedy Dragon towards the left of your sitting position in order to enhance your Green Dragon. Another interesting painting is Double Blessings.
One of the most beloved of Buddha images, the Laughing Buddha (Maitreya or Mi Lo Foh) can be found in many Chinese homes and Chinese restaurants. He brings prosperity and wealth luck to al. The wonderful Buddha of Happiness also loves to pick up all our troubles and problems and keep then in the huge calico bag he carries around; then, in return, he transforms them into abundant happiness. Lord Ganesha is Hindu God of good fortune that is worshipped in India. Houses that worship him invite prosperity and good luck. Besides this similarity is the resemblance in their appearance. Though – unlike Laughing Buddha - Lord Ganesha has a head of elephant, both have a big round tummy. It is believed that bigger the belly of Laughing Buddha the more auspicious he is. Caressing his belly in the morning is said to bring good luck. Painted in golden yellow and red hues, this painting is aptly titled Double Blessings. Place Double Blessings on the wall facing the main door of your business or home and be twice blessed.
The Multiple Effect is another lucky painting and here is why. The symbol of Fook, in Chinese, is considered a very lucky symbol. The stickers of Fook are pasted on the ledgers and even on the cash boxes (and safes) to attract good luck. Swastika is as significant. The Dalai Lama's throne is always decorated with four Swastikas. Chinese called it Wan Zi. Japanese named it Man Ji and Tibetans refer to it as Gyung-Drung or Geg-Gsang.
S-vasti in Sanskrit is "It's well". Swastika is a symbol of prosperity and good fortune and is widely dispersed in both the ancient and modern world. Swastika continues to be used as the specific emblem of Lord Ganesha, the Hindu God of good fortune. And the worn-out horseshoe is believed to be magically protective amulets and it is believed that the horseshoe must point up "or the luck runs out." This collage of Fook, Swastika and Horseshoe along with lucky Feng Shui coins would certainly have multiple benefits.
The Wealth & Good Fortune corner of your home, office, shop or showroom is the best place to hang it. And the Money God! The Tsai Shen Yeh or "Choy San" (God of Wealth) is one of the most popular symbols of Fortune and Prosperity. Sometimes it is known like Lu Hsing, the God Star of Wealth. The God of Wealth is depicted on top of a Tiger. Dressed in auspicious Dragon Robes, he is carrying a gold ingot and a bundle of auspicious Chinese coins tied together with red string. In good times, he brings affluence; in bad times, he protects your family from poverty. He is best placed facing your front door or office desk or windowsill; he should never be placed in a bedroom There are some more…The Soaring Phoenix, The Peak, Trimurthi, Arowana...
