Laughing Buddha and good luck with Feng Shui

I have heard that placing a Laughing Buddha in the house brings good luck. I have also heard that it should not be bought. Someone should gift it to you. How true is this? Also, let me know where should the Laughing Buddha be kept? Should it be worshipped?

Laughing Buddha is known as Hotei among the Chinese and is considered very auspicious. It is usually placed facing the door. His large protruding belly is symbolic of happiness, luck and prosperity. It is believed that if a person rubs his belly it brings good luck.
Often, one single feng shui coin is placed below the statue. There are many instances of good things happening to the people who bring Laughing Buddha home.
It is not necessary to get it as a gift. You can buy it also. In fact, Laughing Buddha blended with the Lord Ganesha is considered doubly lucky. It is available for sale on http://www.fengshuimiracle.com.

Is this gift fortunate as per Feng Shui?

We have one electronic clock, gifted by some family member, in the south-east corner of our house. The dial is a body of a baby. The head is moving side wise in negative manner; it is one separate piece from the body. Is it ok?

It does sound and seems negative. Life may give you negative responses, especially in the wealth area.

Feng Shui for enhancing career prospects

Dear Mr Mohan Deep, I love to read your diary and have recently started thinking of applying Feng Shui to my life. My husband and I are both research scientists. He was doing very well in his career five years back, but since then things have been very slow and he does not receive recognition for his work. He gets offers for jobs and is called for interview but nothing materializes. What should we do to increase his chances of promotion and success in career? His date of birth is November 5, 1963. I am eagerly looking forward to your suggestions. Thanks.
Anshu Agarwal

Dear Anshu, you can acquire the painting or copy of the Peak and hang it on the North wall of your drawing room. http://www.fengshuimiracle.com/fengshui_paintings.html You can also hang a silver colour wind chime in this direction. However, there can be any number of Feng Shui flaws in your house causing this problem. It will not be possible to correct the Feng Shui without taking a close look at the floor plan and some photographs of your interiors. I will also need the date(s) of birth of your husband and yourself. This will be a professional consultation.
