Feng Shui Benefits a Cheese-Maker

I must confess that I had never met a real-life cowboy before and that my only acquaintance with this tribe was through books and a few westerns that I had seen years back. This is why, when a cowboy arrived at my office, it became an event. It was as if he had walked out of one of those films.
His name was Joshua, and he was part owner of a farm in Texas that produced cheese and other milk products. He was visiting simply to meet me after a positive Feng Shui experience. He towered over me with his six-and-a-half foot slim figure. Wearing a cowboy hat, accompanied by his wife, Charlotte, he has invited me to Texas as their special guest at their farm. They are treating this India visit as their honeymoon.
One good turn leads to another
Actually it was Charlotte who first visited my office, six months ago with the floor plans of a business premises based in Texas and her two-storey house. She showed me a video of their farm and cheese-making unit. The images of cows and goats grazing on the farm, farmhands milking them, milk vans, milk being heated and large, round rolls of cheese being sliced in a modern unit being supervised by Joshua, seemed out of a Hollywood movie of the 80s. Charlotte was in India to develop a business relationship.
She also had over 50 photographs that started from the main door and included all the rooms of her beautiful house. Some friends of hers, who had consulted me on the ’net over a year ago, had talked about their Feng Shui experiences. I like this kind of situation, when I’m dealing with people who know each other. There is an amount of trust and total willingness to follow Feng Shui. Besides, it exposes me to a different ethos, every time.
Business Growth
Charlotte represented a US cheese producing enterprise at a senior level. And I love cheese and told her so.But there were two problem areas in her life. The first has to do with business. “The growth of our business has stopped. It has plateaued. It certainly is a profit-making venture but we have the potential for growth, reaching new heights and becoming a brand. This is not happening. To give you an example, our products are not showcased in most of the Indian shopping malls despite our efforts. There has been no response. No one is calling back. Our e-mails are going went unanswered. I am here to cultivate relationships. But the response is not good.”
The second problem was a personal issue.
“I am in a relationship with Joshua, one of the top men in the company. The set-up is such that you cannot call one person the owner of the company but he is the boss. It has been six years. There have been lows and high in our relationship but marriage is not happening. Something is stopping him. He will commit one day but after a week, he changes his mind. It is as if he has a marriage phobia.”
Feng Shui for a manufacturing unit
Feng Shui for a cheese-making unit, or for that matter any manufacturing unit, is a little complicated as you cannot make major changes. I noticed what can easily be described as bad Feng Shui, as milk was stored in the Fame & Glory sector, causing a clash with the ruling element – Fire. Water is of course the element of milk. Similarly, the area where milk was heated was in the Career & Opportunities corner of the unit! This was Fire in the area that is always ruled by Water. Fire is taboo here.
While other Feng Shui flaws could be corrected, here we had to find other remedies. Like I always say Feng Shui is all about the elements. Using my acrylic of Earth to reduce the strength of Water and Wood to increase the strength of Fire, I corrected the harmony in the Fame sector. Similarly, I used the painting of Metal to increase the potency of Water in the Career & Opportunities corner.
Over a dozen Feng Shui corrections were necessary in the office.
Now, we focused on Charlotte’s home.
Block in Relationship
As often happens in such cases, there was a picture of a waterfall – something Feng Shui prohibits – and a narrow-mouthed red jar that, I thought, was a block in the relationship. Red to me indicated passion. There also was a wall immediately in front of her door, again a block in relationship with the outside world. What happened after the Feng Shui corrections, made Joshua and Charlotte my new friends. To put it in her words, “Things moved so smoothly for us that you will see our products in almost all the malls in India. I don’t want to go into details and in any case, most of the things are confidential, but I must say that I never heard `no` after the Feng Shui changes.” And, with her throaty laugh she added jokingly, “and even I didn’t say `no` when Joshua suggested marriage!”
